The Lacy-Landon c.1850 Greek Revival home with multiple additions. Eli Lacy and his wife, Mary Franklin, married early with no capital to start with. By 1839, the family consisted of himself, his wife and 10 children. In 1840, he purchased 120 acres for $300.00, and built a log house. In 1852, Eli started construction on the main house. Mary died in 1875 and Eli died in 1876, and they both are buried in Paint Creek Cemetery, just north of Goodison. Several years later, the Landon family purchased and owned the property until 1946. Recently the home was completely restored, and received Certificates of Appropriateness by the HDC for following the Secretary of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Properties.
